Your Challenger. Five quick answers.
NEW PLAYERS. OLD FRIENDS.
01
Is Challenger for our team?
Yes. Challenger welcomes social and competitive teams across different playing levels. Bring your regular team or put a team together with friends.
New to Tag? You run and pass to score tries, while defenders stop the ball carrier by removing a tag instead of tackling. When tagged, the ball carrier stops and plays the ball to restart play.
Adults 15+: Men’s, Mixed and Ladies. Youth 12-14: Boys, Girls and Mixed. Choose the division and playing level shown on your event listing. Unsure where your team fits? Ask the event host before entering.
YOUR COLOURS. YOUR CREW.
02
What does our team need?
8-12 players, matching numbered shirts, official Tag shorts or Tag belts, and one Team Manager. Tape pockets when using a belt. Clear player numbers help referees identify everyone. A number on either the front or back is fine teams can keep it simple with spray painted numbers or go all out with numbered sublimated shirts.
Standard entry is $600 per team. Split evenly, that’s $50 each with 12 players or $60 each with 10. The event listing confirms the final fee for your location.

What makes Challenger different?
A free player raffle at every event gives everyone a chance to win, whatever the scoreboard says. Fantasy Points, team salary caps, challenges, Power Rounds, leaderboards and prizes add even more to play for. Track your progress, build your squad and compete with friends beyond the final whistle.
Choose an event that suits your location, division and playing level. Your Team Manager creates and enters the team through the Athlete Portal, then invites players. Individual players can accept an invitation or request to join a team.
Looking for a team? You can request to join through the Athlete Portal. If you’re unsure who to join, ask the event host about teams looking for players.
